This article is about the boss enemy. For his original counterpart, see Shipahoy Dudley.
"It's time to die, Audrey...and live again...as a god!" |
Shipahoy Wilson is the horrific amalgamation of Wilson, his cartoon character Shipahoy Dudley, and his sidekick, Crackle the Crab. They were conceived by Wilson to overthrow the Ink Demon and rule over The Cycle, but his plan backfired after his attempt to turn Audrey Drew into it failed, resulting in Wilson being the final piece. It serves as the final boss of Bendy and the Dark Revival.
Bestiary[]
Physical Appearance[]
Shipahoy Wilson is a monstrous, gigantic combination of Wilson and his creations: Shipahoy Dudley and Crackle the Crab. The upper torso is that of Shipahoy Dudley, though the hands appear to be large and skeletal with the arms and fingers resembling the legs of a crab. His right arm is much larger than his left arm as the former has a pincer for a thumb, while the latter one has a piston attached to the upper arm and wrist. Both his arms are segmented and he appears to wear a black ink stained sailor uniform with a loose handkerchief on his chest. The face appears to be melting and elongated with mismatched eyes. His right eye is smaller and circular with a faint yellow irises that is very similar to Wilson's while his left eye is oval shaped with a large and very reflective pupil that resembles Dudley's. The contrasting glowing eyes give him a constant crazed look, and his once innocent smile has now been warped and frozen into a mad and psychotic grin filled with glowing teeth. Interestingly, some of the teeth aren't illuminated, which seems to give the illusion that they are metallic false teeth. His red rosy checks have been painted black and are now oval shaped.
The lower torso takes on the form of Crackle the Crab, which has three legs on each side. The mutilated head and body of Wilson is seen beneath the chest of his monster form, appearing to have been fused together, and is surrounded by a skeletal rib cage and scrap metal for extra protection. Shipahoy Wilson wields a chained anchor which is attached to his upper back as his weapon.
Iridescent ink seems to be seeping out of various different pores and scars all over his body.
Behavior[]
Shipahoy Wilson is large and slow-moving, relying on his anchor and other projectiles to deal damage. His slow speed means his attacks are obviously telegraphed, making them easier to dodge. However, he is a heavy hitter and deals very severe up close damage. Being partly made with Wilson, it seems to retain his memories as well, justifying its attack on Audrey being Wilson seeking revenge for what she did to him.
Shipahoy WIlson has three phases. In phase one, he will only throw his anchor, which does very little damage and cannot kill the player. The player needs to bait Shipahoy into throwing his anchor into the locked panels of the four signal towers around the room so that they can be deactivated. Once the player deactivates two signal towers, he will move into phase 2, where Iridescent Lost Ones run into the room and attack Audrey at the start. Killing the Lost Ones restores a significant amount of health, and once all of the Lost Ones have been killed, Shipahoy will begin throwing gears, which do significantly more damage than the anchor. These gears can not break open the panels, and the player needs to dodge three gears before the anchor is thrown again. Once the last two signal towers are deactivated, he will move into his final phase, and will begin following Audrey around the room after another horde of Lost Ones attacks.
In phase three, he will attack Audrey directly, charging at her and hitting her if she gets too close. While his attacks are highly telegraphed, they do significant damage, and being killed in this phase will result in the player being consumed, meaning they will have to start the entire fight over. Shipahoy will charge at Audrey about three times before moving to the center of the room and swinging his anchor. Once he slams the anchor, he will be momentarily stunned and Wilson's corpse will be exposed, which the player must hit three times to progress the fight. Shipahoy will repeat these attacks three times, requiring the player to hit Wilson a total of 9 times to end the fight.

Chapter 5: The Dark Revival[]
Shipahoy Wilson is the final boss of the game, appearing after Wilson's failed attempt to merge Audrey with Shipahoy Dudley. After Audrey turns on the Ink Machine, Wilson emerges from the dark puddles in his new body. Consumed with rage and vengeance he begins attacking Audrey in one final attempt to claim her soul. But after a long battle, Audrey is able to banish Wilson's physical form into the dark puddles. This caused the amalgamation to be released from his creator's influence, causing him to become mindless. He then tears off Audrey's legs to prevent her from fleeing or fighting back. Before he could claim her soul, the Ink Demon arrives at the last moment, takes advantage of his weakened state by tearing apart his throat, and then drags his body into the inky depths, never to be seen again.
Trivia[]

Concept art of the unused, extremely bizarre "Little Buddy".
- Shipahoy Wilson's boss theme, called "Salty Scares", is a remix of "The Sailor's Hornpipe".
- He is one of the few enemies in Dark Revival that can give the player a game over. The other enemies that can do such are the Ink Demon, King Widow, and the Lurker.
- Shipahoy can only kill Audrey himself during the third phase of the fight.
- The fact that he is a flawed mashup of both human and arthropod born from the improper usage of science may be a reference to Brundlefly.
- Some unused concept art reveals that Shipahoy Wilson was going to be a creepy manchild bug thing known only as "Monster Buddy". This is supported by the fact that unlike most enemies in the game, this one is colored.
- However, unlike Shipahoy whose colors are bleeding out of them, he is still fully chromatic.
- Shipahoy Wilson was the second character to be killed by the Ink Demon's interference when trying to kill the player, the first one being The Projectionist.
