"Sing my song and my sanctuary will open to you."
The sanctuary was originally built so that Sammy Lawrence could work on the background score for the various Bendy cartoons undisturbed. During the events of Bendy and the Ink Machine, it is implied that Sammy uses this chamber for the purpose of praying, possibly to Ink Bendy, who he worships as a deity. As revealed by the Joey Drew Studios Employee Handbook, this area was also used by Sammy as storage for the musical instruments used by the musicians in the Music Department.
It is a long hallway with shelves on both sides of the hallway. One the left side of the sanctuary, there is three violins all in the same position. One the right side of the sanctuary is planks of woods and a single banjo. There are also some black pipes. At the end of the hallway is a room with a drawing table, a toilet, a valve, a pentagram and a sign that says "FLOW". There is a message written above the toilet, reading "SING A HAPPY SONG, WHISTLE A MERRY TUNE. WAIT FOR HIS ARRIVAL, HE'S COMING VERY SOON.
The sanctuary is the first location where the valve switch can be found, and only accessible after Sammy's music puzzle has been solved.
- Prior to Chapter 4, the sanctuary used to be just a hallway.
- Opening the sanctuary by completing the music puzzle will unlock the "My Favorite Song" achievement, and even the "Strike Up The Band" achievement if bringing all nine Bendy cutouts to the band area of the recording studio.
