Flashlight

The flashlight is an obtainable tool that appears in Chapter 3 and 4 of Bendy and the Ink Machine.

Appearance

The flashlight resembles an industrial grade "projector" style flashlight, but in the game's art style. Besides the zig-zag lightning-shaped image, there is a "GENT" logo printed on the front of the flashlight on the bottom right.

Usage

The flashlight is mainly used when exploring/investigating darker rooms and areas that lack any light sources.

Bendy and the Ink Machine

Chapter 3: Rise and Fall

It is used to light up a dark hallway that appears outside the safe room, located on the desk. When Henry and Buddy Boris are out of the dark hallway, Henry gives the flashlight to Buddy Boris so he can open the gate that leads to the Heavenly Toys room. After that, it is not used again.

Chapter 4: Colossal Wonders

The flashlight reappears in the fourth chapter as shown in Chapter 4's third teaser. Henry uses the flashlight to crawl through the vents from the planning room. Henry obtains it just before leaving the lounge & hideout, by the entrance to the vents and leaves the equipment after crawling through it.

Trivia

Based on the name printed on the flashlight, the tool is installed by the company Gent.

The flashlight is seen from the metro station's Steam screenshot where it is laying next to the ink river on Level 11. It was not there in-game however, presumably the developer had removed it during the final production.
