History

The book's existence was first leaked on February 2, 2020. On May 9, the preview was leaked, revealing the Archgate Films founder's introduction, some comic strips, and a new character named Boswell Lotsabucks.

On May 17, 2020, the book's cover art is noticeably updated to replace few comic frames.

On July 10, Scholastic uploaded the official gaming graphic novel trailer for Crack-Up Comics Collection (along with Hello Neighbor: The Secret of Bosco Bay), leaking some more comic strips and as well new characters (including the cave monster, some Olive Oyl clone with dog ears, etc.).

On August 28, the book was later released bright and early before its official publish date. It was then finally released on September 1st.
