Construction Corruption (Comic) is the earliest known comic of the Promotional Comics era. It was released in 1941.

Plot[]
Bendy and Boris star their first day as construction workers. Bendy greets Charley politely while being oblivious to the latter's frustration towards him. Charley states he is trying to going straight (as in no longer being a criminal) before yelling at Edgar about carrying dynomite around. Bendy and Boris, still oblivious to Charley's ire, set off to do their job.
After splitting up, Boris finds someone's lunchbox. Thinking with his stomach instead of his brain, he takes it for himself and manages to anger the construction worker that brought it. Boris runs away while joking about being in a hostile working environment.
Bendy, in the meanwhile, creates a birdhouse for a group of pigeons. While doing so, Bendy not-so-subtly promotes some of Gent's tools as Charley chews him out for not doing his actual job. Charley then fires Bendy while booting the unaware imp away.
After landing near Boris, the two decide to leave after only being on the site for 15 minutes. As they leave, Boris drops his bolt gun, causing it to fire one more hot bolt. It bounces across steel beams before ending in the box of TNT Edgar is still holding.
The comic ends with Boris mentioning how much fun he had while wanting to return tomorrow as the site explodes behind them.
