Bendy and the Dark Revival: The Archives (can be shortened to just The Archives, also referred to as Story Boarding in the pause menu) is an extra Bendy and the Dark Revival area, added in a patch on April 11th, 2023. The option to enter it is available on the main menu.

Summary[]

The Archives is a location made out of a spacious hall in the middle, further branching out into four separate corridors. It has pedestals all around with characters on top, with one pedestal outside of the location.

Trivia[]

  • Despite most of the location sharing the art style with The Cycle, the game registers the location as a part of the real-life world instead.
  • Wilson inside of Shipahoy does not have any textures. This is most likely a glitch.
  • User controls in the area are limited - no jumping, sprinting or crouching is available to the player. The crosshair is also turned off, regardless of the settings.
  • The pause function in the level, while supposed to be disabled, will become accessible to the player after interacting with the exit and choosing "No" to stay in the location.
    • Saving the game in The Archives and loading it from the menu causes the stage load like a regular level. This changes the location's lighting to be more dim, makes Audrey's model visible and enables the crosshair.
  • The player's view does not feature Audrey's model directly nor does the location feature any voice lines.
    • If hacks are used to take damage, Audrey's damage sound effect can be heard.
    • The player can also hear her when somehow using a weapon.
    • Her real-life model can also be seen in both the pause menu and during the save-load glitch.
  • When hacking behind the King Widow, the player will see two eggs, although they can't be seen normally.
  • It is actually possible to see Sinny without hacks in the real-life area of The Archives via the shutters.
  • The only characters that are not in The Archives are specific alternate versions of lost ones (Amok's Followers, The Ink Jets, etc.), Buddy Boris (However he is mentioned in Tom's description), the Projectionist's head, Bertrum Piedmont's head, The Dark Puddles, Borkis, Searchers, and Ink Widows (Although the eggs they emerge from are hidden in the map).
