Summary

Bendy and the Dark Revival: Chapter 1 - Drawn to Darkness is the first chapter of Bendy and The Dark Revival. It was released on November 15th, 2022.

Plot

The chapter just after Audrey meets Alice. Audrey heads upwards towards Animation Alley. "Alice" tells Audrey to find a Gent Pipe to break through a jammed lock. Audrey also meets several Lost Ones, who act aggressively when they spot Audrey.

Audrey finds the Gent Pipe stuck in the body of a Lost One in Atrium Supply. Using her new weapon and abilities, Audrey continues until she finds a friendly version of Bendy, and she unintentionally upsets the tiny Bendy, causing him to run away.

Knocking on a door marked "Don't Knock" makes a new Lost One known as the Mad Artist to peek out of the hole. They ask if Audrey is "Phil" and send her on a quest to gain Phil's photos. A new voice starts to speak, asking for Audrey's name. This voice belongs to none other than "The Ink Demon" himself. The Ink Demon almost catches Audrey right as she closes the door on the Ink Demon. The game then continues straight into Chapter 2.

  • If the player waits for a few minutes without making Audrey get up out of her seat, she would get back to work before credits start to roll.
  • A drawing of Shipahoy Dudley lies on one of the desks, foreshadowing the final boss.
  • If the player interacts with the mirror in Audrey's office, Audrey will strike a pose. Do this enough times and a spooky face appears, accompanied by a ghostly scream.
  • After opening the elevator, backtrack and find three balls (one on Audrey's desk, one next to the Shipahoy Dudley sketch, and one behind a typewriter) and throw them into the janitor bucket to reveal a strange character and earn the "Did you See That?" achievement.
  • Buddy Boris makes a cameo when Audrey is on her way to the Heavenly Toys Room.

This chapter starts in Heavenly Toys.

"Escape the Studio"

Ascend the bricks again and turn left. Audrey will see a mirror and regard her new inky form. Continue forward to a room with "Where is the Toyman" scrawled on the wall. Listen to the audio log to obtain the code for the security lock (451). Continue forward, and upon reaching a desk with an audio log by Wilson, turn right and ascend the bricks on the wall. Fisher will close the door to the right, so descend down a ladder to the left, enter the room, and pull the switch. Enter the locker room and retrieve the key from the second locker from the right.

"Unlock Maintenance Gate"

There is a large wheeled cart blocking the door. Stand next to the handle and push it out of the way, then unlock the door and push open the door behind it. Continue through the hallway to trigger a jumpscare from Striker, then follow Striker to find another locked door to Animation Alley. Attempt to unlock the door, where the key will snap in half.

"Break the Lock"

To the left of the locked door is a large pipe. Allison will speak to Audrey through that pipe and suggest she find a Gent pipe to break the lock.

"Find the Gent Pipe"

On turning around, Striker will attack. Hide from him in a Little Miracle Station, then continue until you find a Lost One with the Gent Pipe sticking out of its chest.

"Restore Power to the Atrium Supply"

Head back to the pipe Allison spoke to you from. A Lost One will appear, and the game will introduce its stealth mechanic. Sneak past the Lost One and crouch through a broken wall to find the fuse box.

"Find the Fuse"

Sneak past the Lost One and follow the indicators to the Little Devil Lounge. Sneak past a second Lost One to find the fuse stuck in a cake in the kitchen.

"Fix the Fuse Box"

Follow the indicators and sneak past more Lost Ones to return to the fuse box. Insert the fuse to restore power.

"Get the Gent Pipe"

Sneak past the Lost Ones again and continue through the Atrium Supply until you reach the Gent Pipe.

"Break the Lock Using the Gent Pipe"

Return to the lock. Aggressive Lost Ones will spawn, but you can use the Gent Pipe to attack them. Interacting with their corpses will grant rewards. You can also use the Gent Pipe to break brick sections of walls to explore new areas. Break open the lock and pull the switch on the left wall. Continue forward to find a Searcher writing on the wall. Here, you will learn the Banish ability. The indicator will lead you to a large crevasse in the floor.

"Find a Way to Cross the Abyss"

Push aside the cart, open the door, crawl inside, and pull the switch. Continue back out and straight ahead is Animation Alley. Defeat or Banish the Lost Ones, then smash a rusted vent to the right and crawl through. Continue forward and open the door to find Bendy. Audrey will accidentally hurt Bendy, who runs off. Follow where Bendy ran off to until you find a door that reads "Don't Knock." Knock on the door and a Lost One, thinking you're Phil, tells you to bring him his pictures.

"Search Animation Alley for Pictures"

To the right of the door are the empty frames for the pictures for you to collect. Open the door to the left, crawl through an open vent, and break the lock on the door ahead. Ink Bendy will begin to speak to Audrey. Continue crouching and breaking locks to continue forward until you reach a dead end. Pull the lever to the right of the door to trigger a scene with Ink Bendy. After this point, the Ink Demon will appear at random, so be aware of hiding places (Little Miracle Stations, vents, crates, and barrels).
