Bendy is a fictional American media franchise founded by Joey Drew Studios and later obtained by Archgate Films after their eventual closure. With the release of its first Bendy cartoon (Little Devil Darlin') in 1929, the franchise ran until 1948 with the following closure of Joey Drew Studios, and was later revived by Archgate Films in 1972 after 24 years of silence.

The franchise starred the main trio of the studio's cartoon stars: Bendy, Boris the Wolf, and Alice Angel. The Butcher Gang are a trio of toons (later a quart), that feature only as a handful of the franchises' antagonists: Charley, Barley, Edgar, and Carley. Additional supporting characters include Boswell Lotsabucks, Ruby Goldberg, the Woolly Triplets, and so forth.

Cartoons[]

The Bendy cartoons are a series of animated short films starring the little devil and friends. The series started in 1929 with Little Devil Darlin' and ended around the late 1940s prior to the studio's closure in 1948.

A known total of 77 cartoon shorts are mentioned or shown across the games and books, with 7 of those featuring on the Joey Drew Studios YouTube channel as fully animated shorts.

Comics[]

The Bendy comics are a series of comics made and released from 1931 to 1946.

A known total of 49 Bendy comics exist.

Merchandise[]

Toys based on the Bendy characters were made and published by Heavenly Toys in 1934. Aside from Bendy, Boris, and Alice Angel, no other characters under the Bendy brand received plush dolls as seen so far.

There is a dancing Bendy-shaped clock that has similar functions to the Kit-Cat Klocks in real life.

Amusement Park[]

The amusement park based on the Bendy cartoons was initially planned by Bertrum Piedmont in 1940, and would have been based in Meadowlands, New Jersey. The park was divided into four parts: Light Land, Dark Land, Big Land, and Tiny Land. However, due to Joey Drew Studios facing bankruptcy, the park never saw the light of day.
