At the start of the game, the player finds themselves looking through a tall metal archway in front of a boarded-up and condemned Drawing Room, which has a wheelchair sitting on the front porch. By following a large, muddy arrow, and heading backwards, the player will discover an unboarded-up version of the Drawing Room but with three coffins to its left resting in the same positions they were at the end of Chapter 1: Moving Pictures and the start of Chapter 2: The Old Song, along with two candles. As they enter, they first encounter Ragtime Guffie, who vanishes the second they enter the corridor. If the player chooses to head towards the end of the hallway, they will stumble upon a secret room with a Bendy cutout and some summoning circle markings on the floor. If they choose instead to take a right, they will find a cylindrical ink hallway reminiscent of the one Henry Stein spawns in before he is rebirthed from the dark puddles. They will then enter the Main Hub, an area filled with puzzles to complete by throwing Bacon Soup and Beans cans at objects.

One of the main encounters occurs when the player throws 3 cans into a large metal tube, causing a secret area to open, revealing the Oldtime Theater and Ragtime Guffie, who welcomes the player, hoping that they "enjoy the show". In this area, they will find the animation of Bendy dancing from Chapter 1: Moving Pictures being projected onto the big screen. The player is also able to watch a short clip showing flashing images such as the Ink Demon, ink, and the word "reject" by tossing a can at the screen. Additionally, a neon popcorn sign with Chef Buck's name on it can be seen. Tossing a can at it will reveal a Boris poster that has a question block on it.

If the player breaks the two lit up windows in the main room, they will enter a house-like room where a character known as "Riley" has their story told. Riley was a talented artist when she was young. Unforunately, when she turned 6 years old, her parents died in a car crash. She was never the same since that day (according to a chat in the school psychologist's office, presumably between the School Psychologist and a teacher), and she started to draw pictures that disturbed the other students. At 17 years old, she was hired by Joey Drew Studios, but was fired after drawing horrific things. One drawing that stood out was a drawing of a taxi with blood under it, known as "Gaskette". After getting fired, she would then get hired by Gent, and she seems to drink ink made by the company. The game will then reset back to the beginning. If the player re-enters the Drawing Room, there will be no access to the puzzle area, forcing the player to walk to the end of the hallway. Turning the corner reveals a monster form of Gaskette. When approached, his headlights turn on and he starts to drive straight towards the player. The player has no way to escape, and they will be forced to get run over during this scene. Once they die, the game will reset back to normal. Ragtime Guffie can be seen sitting in the wheelchair outside of the Drawing Room now.

Formerly[]

In two older versions, there was no access to the Drawing Room. The player will appear in front of the metal gate and Drawing Room, but rather than having an open doorway, it's blocked off by wooden boards, with a sign saying it's "Condemned". The player cannot do anything other than walk around. As of the latest version, this version of the house still appears, but the player can still get inside by going backwards.

Puzzles/Secrets[]

The following information contains spoilers. To view them, click the [show] tag.

Teaser Room

Entering the door directly in front of the player will lead to a puzzle room with a TV screen and four character icons surrounding it (two on the left, two on the right). Chucking Bacon Soup cans at these symbols will cause them to flip around and show the monster forms of each character. From top left to bottom right, these are Shipahoy Dudley. Boris the Wolf, Alice Angel, and Bendy, which are flipped into Shipahoy Wilson, Brute Boris, Alice Angel (ink form), and the Ink Demon respectively. A question block from Boris and the Dark Survival can also be found in this room, as well as a Boris hand protruding out of the floor that can be interacted with.

Triggering the correct symbols will reveal different teaser images for upcoming projects in the Bendy franchise. Currently, there are five known teaser images that have been found.

If the player inputs Shipahoy Wilson, Alice Angel (ink form), Brute Boris, and Ink Demon, it will be revealed that B3NDY is in the works.

If the player inputs Shipahoy Wilson, Alice Angel (ink form), Boris, and Bendy, a teaser for Bendy: The Silent City is revealed.

If the player inputs Shipahoy Dudley, Alice Angel (cartoon form), Brute Boris, and Ink Demon, a teaser image revealing an ink monster chained up to some poles will appear on the screen. This is presumably a teaser for Bendy: The Cage.

If the player inputs Shipahoy Dudley, Alice Angel (cartoon form), Boris, and Ink Demon, a teaser image showcasing a new character named Fluffsy standing in front of their milk bowl, with a milk bottle to its right, appears on the screen.

If the player inputs Shipahoy Dudley, Alice Angel (ink form), Brute Boris, and Ink Demon, a teaser image of Boris holding a pan will appear on the screen. This is presumably a teaser for Bendy: Lone Wolf.

Bendy Mascot Costume

A Bendy Mascot Costume can be seen in the main area. If the player turns their back to it, it will stare in their direction and move closer to them each time they turn around. It can be heard whispering the lyrics to Build Our Machine by DAGames if it's standing right behind them. Chucking a golden Bacon Soup can at it will reset the game and the player will still be holding their golden soup can. If the player enters the Drawing Room again, the player will stumble upon the same mascot costume in the corridor. Chucking the soup can at it again will cause another reset to the game and the whole area will be shaking. Turning around will reveal a giant mascot costume lurking in the darkness. After a few moments, the costume vanishes and the game crashes. Furthermore, the mascot's whispering audio files in the game files are numbered "2219124", "152118", and "131389145" which translates to "BUILD OUR MACHINE".

Bendy

When running over to the Oldtime Theater after opening the gate and looking back to the Vending Machine, Bendy will appear in the small vent next to it for a few seconds, before ducking out of view.

Similarly, if the player goes up to the door to access Riley's Memories without breaking the windows, a small vent near the Teaser Room entrance will have Bendy pop up again, before quickly ducking back down.

Ink Demon

The player can encounter the Ink Demon if they destroy enough of his cutouts (they may also receive a voiceline from Alice Angel or if they stand still for too long (this also counts for when they player has their game paused). Additionally, holding the shift key and typing K414 will trigger the jumpscare.

Ink Rave

The Ink Rave can only be triggered one time. First, you must clench all three of the bendy glove hands, then break the popcorn sign in the theatre, drink 25 cans of bacon soup until you hear a burp (or one golden can), then you have 15 seconds to bring a can into the theatre and throw it at the Little Devil Darlin' poster, revealing a hole. Press E on the hole makes the look through the crack, the player should see Alice, Slicer, the Ink Demon, Wilson Arch, and Sammy raving.

Condemned Easter Egg

When the player boots up the game and walk to The Drawing Board before doing anything and walk up the the boards with the "Condemned" sign the player will hear the old Ink Machine sound used in the Bendy and the Ink Machine's prototype demo.

Wandering Sin

On the other side of the "Condemned" sign it says "Wandering is a terrible sin."

Specific Versions

In certain versions of the game, objects would appear on the large stage in the Main Hub:

  • A furnace appeared first.
  • In a later version, a rotating office chair appeared.
    • This might be a reference to ChairThatSpins on [[1]] and [[2]], who the developers are aware of.
      • ChairThatSpins is also responsible for Mike's common usage of the word "Sprongus".
  • A Bendy trash can originally seen in Storage 9 during Bendy and the Ink Machine: Chapter 4 - Colossal Wonders could be seen after the spinning chair. If a player threw 10 cans into the bin, it would start spitting out popcorn
  • While not on the actual stage, the Bendy Mascot Costume originally appeared near the Teaser Room, before it was updated and it was given the "weeping angel" mechanic.
    • When the Mascot Costume gained the ability to move, a group of bugs appeared on the stage for a couple versions.

Updates[]

The game has gotten several updates to tease certain things. Said updates need to be filled here.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first game to be supposedly developed by the Gent Corporation which is likely a spinoff of Joey Drew Studios Inc.
  • Surprisingly, the game has a couple references to Bendy In Nightmare Run, despite Mike claiming they weren't continuing the game.[2]
    • There are 3 Bendy gloves seen around the area, and the player can clench and unclench each one. In Nightmare Run, there is a button that clenches and unclenches a Bendy glove, which is believed to control the difficulty.
    • Gaskette appears in this game, first as a drawing, then appearing as a full creature.
  • The subject number (131389145) actually means something. When using the common numbers to letters (A = 1, B = 2, etc.) technique seen for certain aspects in Bendy and the Dark Revival, the code is revealed to mean "machine", revealing that this subject is likely the Ink Machine.
  • This game uses the color red as blood instead of ink seen in other games. The only other game so far to use color is Bendy and the Dark Revival.
    • There are also red lights seen in the main room, on the side of the large pedestal. It looks like in each update one or two turn red.
  • The boards seen blocking the exit to the Drawing Room resemble the ones that block the Ink Machine Loading Dock in Bendy and the Ink Machine.
  • This game is the second time Build Our Machine has been referenced in the series, the first time being on a radio in Bendy and the Ink Machine: Chapter 2 - The Old Song.
